Spinner.com give away a free Mp3 of the day recently, Northern State alumni Hesta Prynn’s killer cover of Butthole Surfer’s “Pepper”.
The song by the old Cobain faves sounds like an update of Jim Thompson’s “People Who Died” with a chorus by Violent Femmes and, bizarrely enough with, a vocal by a robot and it works terrifcally.
Dya miss the guitar? Sure you do. But you would miss Hesta’s vocals if you didn’t have it.
