I'm a huge fan of Passion Pit, so I was stoked to see their new video for their song "Take A Walk". I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but since I've always been blown away by their work and creative ideas, I had high hopes.
I fell completely in love with the concept of the video. He throws a bouncy ball, and the video is essentially the ball's journey. It's so unique and wicked cool and I found myself entirely captivated in it. I was so caught up in paying attention to all the details, and I realized that the song/lyrics and video totally don't match. The song itself is so dynamic, and the video seems to be incredibly one dimensional in comparison.
Sure, it's fun to watch but in no way does it do this fabulous tune justice. There were awkward lags and moments where it simply didn't work. However, the song is wonderful. I'm so happy that they're coming out with new stuff, and that it's new and fresh. The beat is fun, the lyrics are awesome, and overall, I am highly impressed overall with how well the tune came out.
Though the video isn't all that great, the song is definitely promising.
