Ozzy Osbourne: Miracle Of Science by Alyson Camus

Scientists want to analyze the genes of Ozzy Osbourne in order to understand why he managed to survive after years and years of drug and alcohol abuse. The US company Knome which studies human genes and researches the origin of genetic human diseases, will map Ozzy’s genome using a blood sample. The cost of the analysis does not come cheap, £27,000! But they are hoping to understand why some people can abuse their body as he did and still reach the ripe age of 61, whereas others cannot.
After 40 years of drugs and alcohol addiction, the prince of darkness must be some kind of freak of nature. The tremors he has experienced for years are not even due to his drug consumption but to a genetic condition!
It’s too late for Serge Gainsbourg (he was known for his alcohol and cigarette addiction but said once on French TV he had already buried two cardiologists), but I would propose other candidates: Shane MacGowan, Iggy Pop, Keith Richards,… any other suggestions?
