Our Last Night, Tuxedo Junction Saturday February 24, 2012

I attended the Eat Your Heart Out tour and though I wasn't very fond of any band on the bill, the band Our Last Night was coming up and I literally had no expectations at all.  I figured they'd be another hardcore band that tries too hard and is just really lame.  I was pleasantly mistaken.

The 5 piece "melodic metal" group from New Hampshire dished out way more than I expected.  Their screamer was absolutely mind blowing.  His voice was so perfect and there wasn't a single scream that came out of him that I wasn't impressed with.  His variety of screams made it all the better.  As for the singer, he was equally flawless.  The two of their voices together created something that really sparked and was truly memorable.  The way that the singer's voice danced over the instruments was ineffably beautiful.

The band as a whole was a well oiled machine.  Jumping and having fun, they were an energetic group that never missed a beat.  The instruments were tightly woven and well rehearsed, yet versatile and refreshing.  The drummer was insanely good, and his style was unique.  The guitars shredded and the bass thumped, each song flowing and natural.  Our Last Night shined and I can't believe how much I loved watching them on stage.

Not only the best band of the evening, but one of the best bands live I've ever had the pleasure of seeing
