Invited to so many shows next week that if I didn’t have a full time job I could spend the entire four days fizzing about from one gig to another, and not a sausage this week (if I was in a band idda arrived a week early: now is the time), I doubt I’ll make any except 4pm saturday october 23rd at rockland Rockwood Music Hall for the stupendous folkie Christopher Paul Stelling which I absolutely plan to hitting and if I can sneak out of work for an hour? Unicycle Loves You at the Cake Shop 2pm on Thursday October 21st.
So despite my indifference to CMJ I might make those two gigs.
HOWEVER,
while I don’t like rock whateverizems I love a good fight so fuck SXSW. It closes down Austin, because Austin is a tiny hole in the ground.
CMJ.? NYC is so huge we barely notice it. A billion indie bands hit the city and the city yawns.
