Or rather, the equivalent in Greenland, a country in Denmark (yeah, weird right?), 4400 copies in a country of 55,000 people, of Nive Nielsen’s debut EP Nive Sings. Or 16M if she was from the States.
The album is produced by PJ Harvey’s long time friend John Parrish (he was front and center of last years first class A Woman, A Man Walk By) though the one song I’ve heard, “Good For You (I Would Be)” would seem to be a lo fi melodic gem with a Yoda like name possibly more to do with the Danish language than precocity.
Nive is playing Los Angeles later this week and I am hoping to sic Alyson Camus on her.
