Look, everybody gets the FB-Spotify hook up. It's the Brad-Angie of online music. Spotify have the software, FB has 800 million active users. What's not to like?
This is not to like.
In the moral equivaleny of shooting themselves just as they explode, Spotify have said you should consider FB your passport to the software. No FB, no software.
Why on earth, they would do that is beyind me. Dya think Zuckerman is saying no Spotify no FB. If he isn't, what the hell do they gain? The answer is nothing, it is over reaching. I don't care how close you are to FB or why, I don't care about the tech, the second you start putting the restrictions is the second you lose the,. This from the guys with the genius idea of giving EVERY SUBSCRIBER six months free with no strings attached, no neccesity to sign up, nothing.
One of the owners has already said Spotify try different things, if it doesn't work they'll toss it. They better.
Now, they are turning away subscribers.
