New Music Week Of October 18th, 2010: Full Bloodied -by Iman Lababedi

When Love Is Dying – Leon Russell And Elton John – Painful, overwrought piece of piano twaddle. RS gave this 5 stars.
Farewell – The Leaving/Grieving rhyme just a marker for this great lyricist.
Keep Me – Tye Tribbett – This is where labels like religious “gospel” or “Christians” fall into the nether and full blooded r&b classic subsitute. His voice could be a touch sweeter in the upper range but really, r&b ain’t this good any more. TRACK OF THE WEEK.
Night Is Young – Nelly Fertado – So let’s just face it: “Promiscuous Girl” was all about the song.
Ghost ‘N’ Stuff (Sub Focus Remix) – Deadmaus5 – Meh, I prefer his house a litle more Chicago. This is about as ordinary as he gets.
Old Fashioned – Cee Lo Green – Cee Lo continues the black pop songbook for inspiration with consistent rewards. This is worthy of any major solo act from Gaye to Teddy -actually, maybe even a touch too pop for Teddy.
Tonight – Sugarland – anna know why Taylor Swift is great? Compare this product to Taylor’s minor “Mean”.
Vandanee Traynee – Ravi Shankar and George Harrison – I can hear Shankar, where is Harrison? Those descending chords in the intro won’t do it.
Well, Well, Well – Duffy – Painful. This woman is a new Dusty Springfield? I don’t think so.
Rap Song (feat Rick Ross) – T. Pain – T. Pain is a great but not here -dumbass listing of current rap stars.
Mean – Taylor Swift – the question isn’t whether Taylor is a media creation. The question is how big a media creation. A diary entry? That’s a joke. This is as real as “Stuck Like Glue”. Product. Good Product. but product.
Speakers Gonna Hammer – Soulda Boy – Oh dear, I guess he is a one hit wonder and this aint that.
My Heart Skips – The Secret Sister – OK countrypolitan , would be better with a better song.
The End – Kings Of Leon – 1) I hate the blokes voice, 2) the song is awful, 3) I bet the rent this album dogs.
