The Cave – Mumford And Sons – I never can figure out who is gonna break Stateside. Coldplay..? Why Coldplay? Why Muse for that matter… I mean, what a crap band. Or, for that matter, why these shopping store clerks? This is like Fairport Convention if FC couldn’t play or sing or have an interesting thought it their heads. AND IT’S STILL MUMFORD’S BEST SONG!
Wish List – Neon Trees – One of the best Christmas songs I’ve heard on year. A catchy baby please come homer with a wittily little thought. Still, there is something a touch irritating about the singer. Not a deal breaker but it doesn’t help.
Why You Up In Hear (feat Ludacris and Gucci Mane) – Flo Rida – I lost interest in Ludacris during his Bam as Prez period. But Gucci and Flo Rida were two signpost for modern hip hop and they sure suck here.
Fire And Water – Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros – They are a lot better than they sound on this dreary sucker. I mean, they kinda hafta be.
Coming Home – Toddy – Diddy and Dirty Money – Diddy was always more the star maker than star. I mean, he sure can’t rap to save him life. This is middling good modern hip hop.
Crazy Beautiful Life – Ke$ha – The very beginning of Ke$ha Part II
Dancehall Queen – Robyn – Tweet, tweak twiddle.
Resolution – Steve Wynn and the Miracle 3 – Wynn has always been a journeyman dressed in the vibes of an art rocker. Real good journeyman psychedelic blah blah doors blah blah velvets blah blah blah wow listen to them guitar chords ring out.
Feel Good (feat Faith Evans) – Eric Benet – Lemme tell you, this guy would be on my fave lists if only for giving Faith a great song to sing.
Walking Far from Home – Iron And Wine – Iron And Wine meet Mumford and Sons. Now both sod off.
Forget You – Glee Music – Hey, better than her bed wetting husband.
Rock That Body – Black Eyed Peas – Not certain this isn’t a lucky break but I am certain Will I Am needs David Guetta to reach these heights on a consistent basis.
