Return to form for Lady Gaga after the average “Bad Romance”. “Telephone” starts off easy with a harpsicord and just Lady Gaga’s voice but the B&D soon breaks in with Beyoncesinging counter-point. Lady Gaga’s ends up with a nursery rhyme “stop telephoning me I don’t wanna talk any more…” SHe’d rather be on the dancefloor and the one syllable gurgle so trademarky Gagaish is barely there. A smash hit.
