My Fave Tracks, Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 -by Iman Lababedi

1. Drunk Girls (London Sessions) – LCD Soundsystem – I would be happy if everybody in the world remixed this song at least once. Not that this is a remix, this is a studio recorded live take and it is boisterous and a blast.

2. Looking For Trouble – Kanye West – It looks like the newbie is to 808s what Pusha T. is to Kid Cudi. In other words, catchier but shallower.

3. Silver Cities – The Monalators – I see what pop fiends like about this song but the vocal isn’t all that and the scooped up synths are an annoyance. So do I like it?  Sure i do.

4. Perfect Day – Susan Boyle – This is works where “Wild Horses” didn’t because Lou and Susan are eccentrics and Mick isn’t. It complements Reed’s bizarro gay world perfectly and the fade, the “you’re gonna reap just what you sow’ is a moving orchestration. No wonder Lou changed his mind.

5. Wildflower – Cee Lo Green – Mid album soul sound begging for a remix.

6. Hello, Good Morning – Sick Of Sarah – Caught my pleasure bone.

7. Diamond Way – Jeff the Brotherhood

8. Birthday – Kings Of Leon

9. Happy – Best Coast

10. Mojo So Dope – Kid Cudi – I dunno but if Part II is a hit people are further out there than I gave em credit. Barely through one listen I can’t hear a surefire like “Pursuit Of Happiness”. But this is awful close. The rest… well, give me a little time. I’ll get back.
