1.Titus Andronicus Forever – Titus Andronicus – What I admire so much about this band is the mix of intense sensitivity and raucous rock and roll: it is hard to find the seams, they live together and are part of a whole. It is as if TA have discovered how to be a hard hitting rock band without being dumbass frat boys. In an interview I conducted with Patrick a year ago, he credited punk-new wave as a major influence: "I credit them with bringing vulnerability to punk. Punk from the begriming was about giving the kids stuff to shout about but TVP applied that to the emotional spectrum and that was important to me".
2.' Should Have' – Cloud Nothings – High melodic quotient lo fi wonder.
3. The Body Of An American – The Pogues
4. Blow – Ke$ha – It is not that she is repeating herself, it is that this is what she does. It may get old in time, but this is smart dance rhymic loop with a better than usual Ke$ha vocal.
5. To Be Young – Ryan Adams – I hadn't heard this song till it played over the credits in "Old School". Blew me away and I've been a mega fan ever since.
6. C'Mon Every Beatbox – Big Audio Dynamite – Eddie lives and B.I.G. are on tour.
7. Just Can't Get Enough – Black Eyed Peas – I didn't get why the album didn't break big, but I think it is because the Dirty Dancing song was so bad. This is real good and # 1 on Itunes singles downloads. Deserves it and it ain't nearly the best either.
8. High Maintenance – Miranda Cosgrove – Growing on me, like fungus.
9. Friday – Rebecca Black – Rebecca has said the reaction to her song and video feels like cyber bullying. Don't look at me, I love it.
10. How – Ozzy Osbourne – This Lennon cover feels like a future Ozzy rejected but could have reached. His vocal is revelatory.
