1. Circuital – My Morning Jacket – Here is an idea we haven't heard of in days. Take 3 songs, one unfinished, and mash em up into an overwrought statement of oneness. Fortunately for the Southerners, one of the songs is brilliant.
2. The Price Of Paradise – Minutemen – When people claim d. Boone was just getting started, they are referring to this Intense, high melodic quotient, agitprop rock and roll.
3. I Wonder What The King Is Doing Tonight – Richard Burton – Near the start of the great musical, Bono and Edge might wanna buy themselves a copy before they attempt another song for Spiderman. Get the original Broadway version with Burton -an actor with the potential of a Laurence Olivier, who drank himself to death.
4. Fast Lane – Bad Meets People – I think it is Eminen's best work since "Crack A Bottle", but where is Tegan And Sara? Can they only beat up on teenage, black kids?
5. California Wildfire – Fuzzy guitars, iffy vocals, but as good an approximate of Jersey rock, as Cali can provide.
6. Kiss And Say Goodbye (1974 Version, A&R Studios) – Kate And Anna McGarrigle – The Belle Brigade should cover it, despite my fear you could faint from the sugar rush. Will they get the "kiss you till my mouth gets numb" right?
7. 1 + 1 – Beyonce – Stand out track, maybe the best of the month.
8. Witchshoes – Johanna And The Dusty Floor – On further listening… eh? This is so different from the first EP, the first EP was Cali singer songwriter disguised as folk. This is atmospheric pro-rock disguised as Cali singer songwriter.
9. Americano – Lady Gaga – She owes Madonna one helluva lot. "La Isle Bonita" here. She may pretend she wants to be Freddie Mercury, but it Madonna she is channeling.
10. Brighter Than the Sun – Colbie Caillet
