My Fave Tracks, Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

1. Find Yourself Another Fool – Sam Cooke – The antecedent to President Obama is not Jesse Jackson, it is this guy. The President wraps feelings in a cool passion just the way Sam Cooke taught us to. Especially on this classic kiss off.

2. Dance (Disco Heat) – Sylvester – You know how the 90s had grunge and hip hop? The 70s had punk and disco. Only punk and disco were at war with each other. This song could take on "Anarchy In The UK" and fight it to a draw.

3. Don't Believe The Hype – Public Enemy – Chuck D don't rhyme for the sake of riddlin'… words some current rappers might wanna listen to closely.

4. One Of Your Tears – Prince

5. My Brave face Face – Paul McCartney – Macca claimed Costello as his own, and Costello leapfrogged into the mainstream.

6. Unorthodox – Rap 2011 – I really do love this cover of Wretch 32 and can't wait to hear the original. That guitar sample is pretty great.

7. Mustaa Lunta – Fucked Up

8. The Great Curve – Talking Heads – I think I like this more than I did in 1980.

9.Run The World (Girls)  – Beyonce – Kyle noted the sample is from Major Lazer, which is a hardly a shocker. So where are the beats from?

10. City Of Fun – The Only One
