1. Constructive Summer – The Hold Steady – Craig Finn’s voice is such an acquired test it ruins his commercial appeal but once you grow to love it, the Hold Steady are one of the best songs. The Saint Joe Strummer is the best verse you can ever ever imagine.
2. Should Have Acid With You – Neon Indian – Chill Gaze? Or something? Dunno but I love the calm synthy vibe.
3. Red Song – Hey Rosetta! – delicate, beautiful, a little Jeff Buckleyish
4. Big Wave – Jenny And Johnny – Apparently J & J argue about career envy on the album. Maybe if Ricehad produced more than one album in six years he might have a point.
5. You’re No Good – Frankie Rose And The Outs – Frankie and the girl I’m dating have one big thing in common. They both like having pix of their boobs taken. I’m just saying
6. Bermuda – Kisses – Ah yes, Los Angeles: everybody is so cool and melodic.
7. The Vastest Island – People Of The North – Nearly ten minutes of modulating sounds.
8. Skinny Gene – Eliza Doolittle
9. Client Eastwood – Gorillaz – Postive fellow
10. Lights Out – Fabolous
