My Fave Tracks, Monday, April 11th, 2011

1. Thrash City – Poly Styrene – Proto-chug-chug-chug with Poly's high pitched svocal down a coupla notches. Pretty good lyric as well.

2. Freak Scene – Dinosaur Jr – Pronto-punk from 88, a forebearer for everything we listen to doday, only better written.

3. Money And Run (feat Nick Cave) – UNKLE – Not everything Cave does is great (see Grinderman) but this song woth the Limey electronic duo is his best since he raised Lazarus.

4. Lost In The World – Kanye West – Adele said this moves her to tears… of boredom, no doubt. One of the albums weakest moments.

5. D.A.N.C.E. – Civilization

6. Black Dreams – Shinobi Ninja – Classic Da cruncher

7. Speak Now – Taylor Swift

8. Hearts Full Of Sorrow – Geoffrey Wilson – Folk, quiet yet deep -like Gary Cooper or something. And Wilson whistles.

9. P.S.A. – Jay-Z – I got it wrong on my Marsha Ambrosius review, this is what she covered. Still sounds better than anything he's done inyears and years and years.

10. Life Of The Party – Elephant – Stunning dance hall. PS, that's Bounty Killer trading lines.
