My Fave Tracks, July 2010

1. Tomboy – Panda Bear – He teased the album for six months and then it wasn't as good as this experimental guitar based , addictive song.

2. Sink/Let It Sway – SSLYBY – Missed em when they played here last year. Arrogant, but for a reason, one of the top power pop bands in the country.

3. Club Can't Help Me – Flo Rida – Before his DUI and before a couple of Guetta DOAs.

4. Cry When you Get Older – Robyn – Excellent dance pop, ABBA would be proud… If only she hadn't released two more albums.

5. More Keith Richards – Quitzow – More dance rock from somewhere not on either coast.

6. Don't Break The Needle – J. Roddy Walston – Terrific old time rock and roll. Opened for the Hold Steady at Bowery Ballroom and lived to tell the tale.

7. Post-Life – Kevin Greenspon – The ultimate best, but he makes it such a pain to get hold of.

8. Crossfire – Brandon Flowers – A sonic, overblown boom of a song. The solo album couldn't sustain it.

9. I Will Come Back (Drop The Lime remix) – holy Ghost – Haunting remix uses the synth lick to good effect.

10. Call Earth – Noun – The first hurrah and this time the album did sustain it. The piano is still a shocker.

Comment: I dunno, man, I don't see how 2011 is gonna compete with this. Except for Beyonce. She will.
