My Fave Tracks, Friday, July 1st, 2011

1. Who Says – Selena Gomez And The Scene – It does have a thought in its head, unfortunately the thought is the most asinine bunch of clichés known to man. Fortunately, the song is a goodie.

2. 100 Key (feat Rick Ross and Pusha T) – Big Sean – I love Pusha, can't wait for a solo turn. But Big Sean is wearing out his welcome in a hurry; Lemme see if I can dumb down BS's BS: 1) He was broke then. 2) He has money now. 3) Fuck you.

3. Holocene – Bon Iver – This is wallpaper ambience, you keep on waiting for it to start.

4. Together You And I – Dolly Parton – It must be a Christmas miracle -a sweet soufflé, light, bubbly country and everybody from Miranda Lambert to Carrie Underwood should listen and learn.

5. Here For A Good Time – George Strait – he is back and he is reclaiming the crown from disappointing Brad Paisley.

6. Love On Top – Beyonce

7. Gold Cobra – Limp Bizkit – Fred in positive review shocker. This is what he does, sledgehammer hard rock plus rap, and he hasn't done it well in a long time, but he does here.

8. Without Your Heart – Total Babes – Lo Fi power ballad: you'll believe a band can fly.

9. Space In Your Face – Mekons

10. Last Friday Night (TGIF) – Katy Perry – "A stranger in my bed and a pounding in my head… " We're gonna have to call her Katy Phair…
