My Fave Tracks, Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

1. Bang Bang Bang – Selena Gomez and the Scene – A synthy modern pop song, unassuming in its brittle put down and while certainly a studio product, it is the second very useful product I've heard from her. Plus? She was pretty good live at Jingle Ball last year.

2. Monster – Paramore – Hayley William is also given to manufacuring songs, this one is the aural equivalent of the Transformer soundtrack it exists for. It crucnches your ears for awhile and then disappears as if it never existed.

3. 1+1 – Beyonce

4. Black Treacle – Arctic Monkeys – A one trick monkey at that, but if you don't concentrate too hard a melody emerges from the play game.

5. Pause – Pitbull – Another killer track from the rapper of the year not to be a 19 year old psycho.

6. If You Wanna – The Vaccines – Crazy consistent power-pop Limey division.

7. Secret – The Pierces – Murder most foul but in a cool way.

8. Drown Soda – Hole – "I sit in the corner and I drink Drown Soda water, I want to bomb the whole state of Minessotta". If Courtney can write those words, why can't she write those words?

9. Martin Kemp – Art Brut

10. Kiss And Say Goodbye (1974) – Kate And Anna McGarrigle
