How are the might fallen? A month after tickets went on sale, I weakened and got one off Ticketmaster. Last February, you couldn’t get a ticket to Lady Gaga at Madison Square Garden for love nor money and before that? I nearly went to Connecticut in search of a ticket!!! I would have gone as well but they cancelled it the gig, they cancelled the February one as well. And I missed one myself due to illness so here is the final score of me and Gaga tickets:

Of the two, I disliked her on the fame monster and thought she was excellent during her 40 minute Jingle Ball concert set closer. Oh,, and at the VMA’s? Didn’t leave much of an impression. Still it all about the music and while I may well be alone in this world in saying so, personally, I adore ARTPOP. I prefer it to Born This Way and that’s for sure.
But to add to my confusion, the ITunes Festival set was not too hot and Gaga can sure be irritating, lecturing us one moment and spending ten minutes changing into her next outfit another minute. Maybe her moment has gone…
So look at it this way, if this is her final shining moment, you’d be a fool to miss it and if it isn’t her final shining moment, you’d still be fooling to miss it, and listening to Artpop again, I just don’t see what the kick against the album is; what’s not to like? This is what we want from Gaga: “touch me touch me don’t be sweet, love me love me please retweet” is the line of the year. It is the zeitgeist.
Four songs off the album are among my favorites of 2013, and if nobody else likes her, well, you’re not her accountant, what does it matter to you? It shows you aren’t a member of a rabid pack of naysayers, you can go your own way and be true to your own, beter tastes. I mean, how can an album with songs as good as “Applause” and “Gypsy” be considered a dog?
Anyway, I will be at Madison Square Garden May 13th and I am expecting Lady Gaga to blow the place down. Please retweet.
