Must See Concert: Shinobi Ninja At Gramercy Theater, December 18th, 2011
My friend, Shinobi Ninja drummer Dave Machinist, FB'd me to advise his band was opening for Me talk Pretty at Gramecy theater -one of my fave rooms, this Sunday. Doors at 530p.
Shinobi Ninja released their terrific debut album, Rock Hood, earlier this year and rock nyc gave it kinda short dhrift. The reason was I have been listening to these songs for so long now, it didn't feel like a real album. But the more I listen to it, the more convince I am that is one of the premiere hard rock albums of the year.
I haven't seen Shinobi in over a year, they've been touring and when they've been playing locally the timing hasn't been there, so, despite my hatred of going out on Sunday's, I figured it was time for yet another exception. If seeing Shinobi isn't enough to get you out of the house, how about this? Madina Lake are also on the bill.
