Elliot Lipp is coming to NYC March 1st to The Studio at Webster Hall. If you area fan of what I like to call "Crazy Electro Funk", I would be sure to grab a ticket. Lipp has been on tour since mid January when he played with BoomBox in Birmingham, and will be on the road rocking shows until mid March when he closes out in Syracuse.
I was lucky enough to see him open up for Eoto, ( parts of the Strong Cheese Incident) last Sunday night at CalNeva Casino in Lake Tahoe, where he had the entire room moving and grooving for his entire set. "Who is this guy? He rocks!!!" was a common phrase out of concert-goers mouths after his set. Lipp packed a punch of dubbed out electro tracks combined with a live drummer, somewhat of an early pretty lights vibe. I am very into the live instrument/ electro fusion, and he exemplifies that perfectly.
