A couple months ago, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon announced a contest. The Prize? To play guitar with Pavement – an opportunity for a regular fan to jam with them.
A super cute idea, and I was very excited to see that Motion City Soundtrack’s Justin Pierre submitted a video. I love him regardless, but raw, powerful, and just entering a regular contest, like a regular person, not like a rock star, is something that’s rare.
It’s cool that he isn’t using his fame to play with the band- he’s a true fan being like everyone else. Obviously, the song was phenomenal and I can’t get enough of it. It’d be so cool if he won the contest. Let’s hope he does.
