Excited to see Motion City Soundtrack for the second time, but in a completely different setting, I went over to the main stage and was in awe. The first time I saw them was as opener at the Honda Civic Tour headlined by Panic! At The Disco.
Flash forward a year or so and still they’re so talented it’s ridiculous, and I was definitely impressed.
Motion City Soundtrack are energetic, fun, and captivating. I was focused on looking at them and singing along, and that’s all that really mattered.
The crowd was very into them too, which was good to see because MCS deserves every single fan they have and every ounce of attention they get.
Justin Pierre’s voice is the same, if not better, live as on their CDs, and the rest of the guys were flawless as well. Not surprising considering how long these guys have worked together.
Even at a festival with a cut set time, less resources, more weather issues, and lots more to deal with, Motion City Soundtrack still rocked it.
Maybe it the heat was insane, maybe it was the swell of the crowd, but whatever it was Motion City Soundtrack were electric.
