Moon Alice are a 21st Century throwback to the country noodling of the late 1960's and the most modern of rock bands, who give away all their music for free and make their money off touring.
All their shows (except this one a Saturday or so ago) are have simulcast ovia satellie and all their shows are avalable for free download.
The result is a song called "It's 420 Somewhere" which has been downloadedan astounding million times.
Astounding because they look like your Grandparents and sound like a cross between Country Joe, Grateful Dead and Dave Matthews in noodling mode. The bloke next to me thinks they are very good, but what does he know? An Occupy sympathizer is called "American Dream Wreck" and they promise to give 10 cents to the movement for every dowlad, it is a shame the song isn't better.
The middle age spreaders play the Petty classic rock only to dovetail to longish guitar jams coloured by keyboards and a chick singer. The audience is an army of david Crosby lookalikes and the set wouldn't be completely horrible if it didn't go on for three, maybe four years.
