The Scottish band Mogwai has a new video, specially made for ‘30 Century Man’, a film about James Bowthorpe, the round-the-world champion cyclist.
The song ‘How to Be a Werewolf’ from their upcoming album ‘Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will’, was remixed to fit to the movie of Anthony Crook, who also did the artwork of the album.
The video is only 3:32 long as it follows the cyclist along spectacular Norwegian landscapes, and the music moves as effortless and as smoothly than the wheels of Bowthorpe’s bike on the mountain roads.
In the middle of the video it culminates into a serene and shoegazing state that only parallels the state of mind that athletes can achieve, then the fuzziness gets blinded by the hypnotic Norwegian white light, before quietly dying out.
