So it wouldn’t have been the VMAs without a bit of scandal, right?
Miley Cyrus.  Oh, dear.  There is far too much to criticize, but the important things to point out can be put into a convenient list.
1. Â When did Miley decide that she was going to be black? Â Cos she’s not. Â Also, what was the deal with her hair. Â She’s a mess.
2. Â I understand she wants to be shocking and make a scene, but you don’t have to dress skimpily and imply things to get that done. Â It just seems that it’s the only way that she knows. Â Yikes.
3. Â The bit with Robin Thicke…he has a wife. Â I’ve already written about that, when I talked about his “Blurred Lines” vid. Â Okay, Miley, please respect that and don’t twerk on him. Â Or, if it was predetermined, wtf? Â In that case, I feel bad for his wife.
It’s always a bit pathetic to see someone trying too hard, and Miley should just give it a rest. Â She’s become something I’m pretty sure none of us expected, and it’s disappointing.
Her performance of her song “We Can’t Stop” was…interesting. Â First off, the network blocked out the word “Molly”- I had thought it was “Miley”, but I guess not. Â It was all pretty gross, with the oversexualisation of it all making it pretty uncomfortable. Â To think that children watch this show just makes Miley’s behaviour totally out of line.
I hope that the shock factor was worth it, because now I simply cannot respect her at all.  The Hannah Montana days are long gone, and soon, Cyrus is going to hit bottom. I wonder if Amanda Bynes has a spare room for her…
