Mick Jagger Says "Don't Hold Your Breath" For 50th Year Anniversary

Mick Jagger told UK tabloid The Sun that fans should "Not hold your breath" waiting for a 50th year anniversary tour. Earlier he had claimed that if the Stones did tour, Keith Richards would not be invited.

Personally, unless Superheavy get super big super fast, I don't believe a word and here are two reasons.

1. Money

2. Ego

It is almost irrestible and I just can't believe a man of Jagger's stature could leave that much money and that much tradition on the table, because Keith Richards claimed he had a small cock.

"A band gets trapped. When a band starts as a blues band, it always remains sort of true to that."

Perhaps but what has that got to do with anything.

The Stones can't record any more, they really suck on record, but live they are as great as ever and better than they were from the mid-70s to the mid-90s. With the drug problems cleared up, with a sound system that can capture them properly on stage, they truly remain the greatest rock band o all time. And really? Does Jagger want to be out done by Bono and his merry band of Irish gits? U2??? Biggest money making tour of all time? Not while Jagger has a breath in his body

I read "Life", I read his claim that Jagger was jealous of him. But I think it is the other way round, Jagger is the second best band leader of all time (don't argue: check out James Brown in the 70s for # 1), he carries the live set, front and center, a great great dancer, great singer, great lyricist, a perfect figure head: androgynous, ambiguous, arrogant. They simply don't make em as good. While Richards toiled in heroin addiction for year after year, Jagger lead his band and they never loss their grip on their audience.

I say there is no way in hell, Jagger doesn't celebrate 50 years at the top of popular music. I don't care if her prefers playing with Superheavy: a year isn't 50 years. I don't believe him, I believe Jagger will be back on tour next year.
