1. A Better Place – Glenn Campbell – There seems to be a cottage industry in farewell albums, begun with Warren Zevon, continued with Johnny Cash and it has now reached Glenn Campbell, who has Alzheimer's Disease. If Ghost On The Canvas proves to be Glenn's last album, he will be going out on a high note. And this spiritual, a folk-country acoustic number filled with a positive appreciation for his life, is wonderful.
2. Save The World – Swedish House Mafia – Sounds like Holy Ghost with an even bigger bottom.
3. Surf's Up – The Beach Boys – The album was a bit hit and miss but this low tide, summer's almost gone beauty made up for a lot of it.
4. Sweet Jane – Lou Reed And Metallica – The diffrence between this and "The View" is that this is a great song.
5. The Lady Is A Tramp – Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga – Highlight: the scatting at the end.
6.Hold Me Close – David Essex
7. I Can Change – LCD Soundsystem – Now it's over, I nominate this for personal best.
8. You Belong With Me – Taylor Swift – She makes a pretty good case for herself
9. A Short Term Effect – The Cure – Best song on Pornography.
10. Ghost On The Dancefloor – Blink 182
