1. Laverne – Friendly Fire – The best song off their current album is also the most thrilling use of a horn this side of Rita Indiana. It is a strange thing; it's as though Miles Davis dropped by in the middle of an experimental indie rave up.
2. Pretty Pink Rose – Adrian Belew – Prog rock pop from 1991. Bowie steals it dead.
3. Someone To Watch Over Me (Demo) – Amy Winehouse – A much more elegant epitaph than "Rehab', listen for the way she sings "the only man I ever think of with regret".
4. She Wore A Yellow – Mitch Miller – I can't find a version of this I like enough. The US Marines hit the beat like boots on cement, and Mitch Miller sounds like he is more concerned with don't ask don't tell then the cavalry about to get it in the ear.
5. Anna – Roger McGuinn – Yeah, the guitars cut the Beatles cover, but the vocals don't come close.
6. Trouble On My Mind – Pusha T And Tyler The Creator – Sure they have big dicks. Don't we all?
7. Humming Live – Portishead – I was at this gig. Remember it as being more fun.
8. Dirty Hands – Black Lips – It reminds me of the first time your band rehearsed and they decided to cover some songs off "Grease".
9. Yeah Right – Dionne Banfield – I really like this girls voice, she's like Amy and Diana mixed up and younger. Hope she's coping alright.
10. Right Time For Everything – Frank Schiazza
