1. The Sound Of Winter – Bush – Let's give them this: it sounds like Bush, it has lots of two word lines, the guitar is front and center and if you like Bush, it does the job.

2. Otis (Feat Otis Redding) – Jay-Z And Kanye West – Let's give em this: the sample is very very clever and the rap perfect.

3. Taken For A Fool (feat Elvis Costello) – The Stroke – Let's give Julian this: he wrote it and the chorus kills.

4. Marvins Room – Drake – This is a great song; a moody ballad filled with confusion and self crimination. The chick on the celly is a good touch.

4. Jack Daniels – Eric Church – All I do is love this song, so much I may give up rum for bourbon. Until, of course, you reach the moral of the story. Then you switch to soda -if the goverment will let you.

5. Five Years – Ramona – This is a patient version: the rest of the band joins her instrument by instrument for a minute and a half till they reach "I want you to walk" then they nail on the chorus.

6. Go Out And Get It – Black Lips – I hereby forgive Ronson for Record Collector because a) this entire album sounds great and b) Sam was so good at Blue Note.

7. Everything Goes My Way – Metronomy – This reminds me of somebody but I can't remember who. Any ideas?

8. Ritual Union – Little Dragon – Rolling Stone gave it 4 stars, tech soul and not bad.

9. When The Night Falss (feat Solange Knowles) – Chromeo

10. In My Time For Sorrow – Marianne Faithfull
