1. Ain't No Money – Rodney Crowell – Here's why I am listening to a son from an album whose lead track is "Here Come the '80s". I went to see the Stones tribute Tuesday night, Rosanne Cash sang "Gimme Shelter", Cash covered this song on her brilliant Somewhere In The Stars album. Crowell was not only Cash's husband at the time, but he wrote the song himself and did a pretty good job singing it. Not as good… Grade:A-
2. Shadow Day – John Mayer – A new single and it is pretty above average Middle Of the Road, rock ballad. I do have a suggestion for Mayer, why doesn't he do an instrumental club tour if he is itching to get back on the road? Grade: B+
3. Silence – The Ting Tings – How can you dislike a band with a name like the Ting Tings. It isn't easy but let me try… Grade: B
4. Over And Over – Good Old War – Just stumbled onto this folkie indie band, it is like CSN were a lo-fi-y rock band and lived in Brooklyn. Grade: B+
5. Say Anything – Say Anything – I don't like his voice and the sound is too like everything. But the guitarist is pretty good. Grade: B
6. Know Me – Frankie Rose – I dismissed the album this is on a couple of months ago, right now? I must admit I return to it from time to time. Grade: B+
7. The Rake's Song – The Decemberist – Live version, I think I'll leave it to Helen, thanks very much!
8. Careless reckless Love – Will Johnson
9. (What A) Wonderful World – Art Garfunkel – With James taylor and Paul Simon. The problem was, it didn't need to be made prettier. Plus, thirty something coke heads don't play High Schook kids that well. Grade: B
10.Bruised Orange – Bon Iver – This is like visiting the old neighborhood, just to make sure it hasn't changed. Grade: B.
