1. Suicide Underground – Air – "Obviously, Doctor, you've never been a 13 year old girl". I loved the novel, the movie not so much. It is the sort of story that lends itself to being imagined rather than seen. The Air soundtrack was terrific. Especially here with the very doctored voice of the male narrator, reading highlights from the book as Pink Floyd keyboards along with soaring chants playoff in the back ground.
2. Sweet Sour – Band Of Skulls – Hard rock with splashes of guitar like red paint and lightning strikes.
3. False Jesii Part2 – Pissed jean – Best chorus ever.
4. Boring Girls – Pissed jeans – Sex as another mundanity.
5. Home – Dierks Bentley – What makes this guy is not his lyric, the sentiment is the usual received, but his melody which is really lovely. That slightly husky voice wrapped around his 1st tier jingoism.
6. Don't Worry, Baby – The Beach Boys – I've said many mean things about Mike Love in my day (even yesterday, come to think of it!),
7.Only Our Hearts – Paul McCartney – Second original off the new album and from the body and soul genuflect through the the strings, right to the end of this tuneless song, it doesn't quite happen.
8. Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow – Funkadelic – I remember it as being a bit less out there than this.
9.Mind Over Matter – The Rival Mob
10. Magic Trick – M. Ward – She disappears.
