1. Danny's Song – Loggins And Messina – This is soft rock, it floats on a cloud of mellow and all these years later I bet someguy somewhere is singing it to his wife.Full of the hope in young marriage and family at the beginning of a journey.Loggins wrote it for his brother and I wonder how it worked out.

2. Call Your Girlfriend – Robyn – Here is the opposite. A romance is derailed near the beginning, told from the POV of the other girl.

3. So Much More – Big Sean – Another Mama's boy, no wonder Kanye loves. "I'm just multiplying my money and diving the legs"!

4. I Want You Back – Taylor Swift – Acoustic version and too short at a buck 23, but very very pretty.

5. Save The World – Swedish House Mafai – The House version of a big bad rock ballad. Just big in every way.

6. Telephone – Telephone, Beyonce – Beypnce in real good voice here.

7.Honolulul Blues – Craig Finn – The Pop of rock and roll.

8. You Can't Stop The Beat – Cast Of Hairspray – Glee recently covered the climatic moment off the Broadway musical. The orginal is better

9. The Mirror And The River – Volbeat – The lead singer  sounds like he walked out of 1956 and the band is fast enough to be punk and powerful enough to play with Megadeth.

10. I'd Really Love To See You Tonight – England Dan And John Foley – OK, I'll come clean, I was watching a Time/Life infomercial called "Singers/Songwriters" -otherwise known as turn it down to 5.
