1. Roman In Moscow – Nicki Minaj – I found all that Roman crap a drag when I saw Nicki opening for Britney earlier this year. But that notwithstanding, she is a truly great rapper. Her flow is without peer and her timbre is both hard and soft sometimes within the same word. She can hit the accelerator like nobodies business. And if it is all sound and fury signifying nothing, so what? So are most things.

2. Do They Know It's Christmas? – Glee Cast – I never thought much of the song or of the original cast of Limey superstars. So Glee couldn't really hurt it and they don't come close. "Tonight thank god it's them, instead of you", remains the most honest statement you'll hear this season

3. The Sleazy Remix – Ke$ha – Two years later, perhaps it is time for K to stop recycling the same songs over and over again. Andre 3000 is in pretty good voice.

4. You Can Put It In A Zag, I'mma Put It In A Blunt – Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa – The first song to give you a contact high.

5. Set Yourself On Fire – Charlotte Gainsbourg – Off her earlier 5:55, or rather not, since this is the recently released live album. It fits in so well, you gotta wonder exactly how much Charlotte owes beck.

6. Exercise de Form Z – Jane Birkin – Wordplay as sound play.

7. Waiting For the Magic – Eric Contractor

8. First Light – My Morning Jacket – Best song off the latest is so whacked out, you gotta think they've been smoking weed with Bright Eyes.

9. Just Pray – For Science – "I don't know, I just, I don't know…"

10. Call Your Girlfriend – Robyn
