1. Rendezvous – the dB's – In which Pete Holsapple goes to Graceland and has an epiphany of sorts, though not the Pilgrimage Paul Simon did. Instead he wanders around Graceland and calls out the King: "Taking Care Of Business" doesn't mean a thing". PS Why isn't that Chris Stamey in the pix?
2. That Means A Lot – The Beatles – McCartney's vocal is so beautiful on this outtake. They ended up giving the song away but there is no real reason for it. A terrific McCartney song: he should perform it on stage.
3.Life As Expected – Commander Venus – Pure Conor, an emotional wreckage at 15 years old. An early masterpiece.
4. Super Bon Bons- Soul Coughing – Given the choice between sex and drugs, Mike Doughty would choose drugs.
5. Folding Aces – Dead Icons – Loud.
6. Brendan's Death Song – Red Hot Chili Peppers – Npt loud
7. Going To Brazil – Motorhead – Old fashioned rock and roll played very very fast.
8. Sad Man's Tongue – Volbeat – Their Johnny Cash song.
9.Wild One feat Sia – Flo Rida – Sia is a terrific singer, she adds depth to everything she touches.
10. Fine Tune – Miranda Lambert – Country blues. A friend of mine saw Miranda at Izod on Saturday and said she was terrific. Especially this song.
