1. One Note Excerpt 1 – Dr. D.R. Barclay – "Fuddum fuddum" -what the heck does that mean? Barclay's mix tape as excerpted here for over four minutes is a thing of beauty and wonder. It isn't seamless, indeed, it insists upon you noticing the seams but from an inspired use of the ittitular note on a Buzzcocks to the end it is an amazing achievement.

2. One Note Excerpt 2 – Dr. D.R. Barclay – Only a minute something this time but it's the one that includes "Walking ON Sunshine"

3. Sidecars – Kathleen Edwards – I was worrying at her new album all weekend long. Mostly because this song is so good, it kept on pushing me to listen to more.

4. Changing Sheets – Kathleen Edwards – And what I found was this: an ode to the ways love can change your life.

5. Don't Sleep In The Subway – Petula Clark – Another of Ms. Clark's nyc smashes.

6. If You Wanna – The Vaccines – Impressive rock and rave up. Made em overnight sensations.

7. You Da One (Almighty Radio) – Rihanna

8. Wait And See – Holy Ghost – The last real disco band on earth if only because the hooks come from the keyboards as often as the beats.

9. Comeback Kid – Sleigh Bells – This is the third (or is it fourth) song to make my best of 2012 so far.

10. Official Girl – Cassie (feat Lil Wayne) -a real r&b girl and though her voice is a little light so is her touch.
