What did I do when I heard that Meg and Dia’s record label, Warner Bros., dropped them?
Laugh.
The horribly talentless band, Meg and Dia, are now labeled as “unsigned” on their Myspace, and that puts a smile on my face. The music scene made me a bit ashamed when their name was brought up, for me to be a part of the generation that liked them.
So, for fun, I listened to one of their songs. “New Demo’s”, they call them.
“One Sail” is unbearable. Her voice is absolutely horrendous and makes me want to just scream and then rip my throat out.
How anyone can tolerate it absolutely puzzles me. It was by far the worst song I’ve ever heard, forget other songs I’ve said that to. I’d rather listen to Justin Bieber than listen to this song. (Okay, maybe not.)
That song was a waste of 3 minutes and 13 seconds of my 13 year old life.
I blame the blog for the permanent damage this song has done to me.
