KCRW, the radio station who was organizing the free shows ’Also I like to rock’ at the Hammer museum in July, has put together a video that captures Saint Motel’s performance which kicked up the series of shows. You cannot see much of their show unfortunately, but it’s good for them they have been chosen among the 8 bands that played there last month.
I had the pleasure to see them at that time, to review the show, then to interview A/J Jackson, and Iman has written about them several times, so we love them.
I will see them again this Saturday at the Junction Fair where they play at 4 pm on the Bates stage.
Their explosive (I know this adjective has been used too many times to describe them, but it’s the right one) shows are ultra fun, and since they have said they want each show to be truly unique, making each of them an event, I don’t think I will be bored.
They have been recording new songs at the Crown City Studios in Pasadena, with producer Eric Lilavois for months now, and this was recently posted on their facebook page: ‘Holy mother of HUGE. new SM tracks are going to put your panties in to an uncomfortable bunch!!! we cant wait!!!!!’
So yes, I can’t wait to hear their new Indie prog, as they call it, at the Sunset Fair.
