Madonna had this to say about Lady Gaga the other day: "As for Lady Gaga, I have no comment to make about her obsessions having to do with meI don't know whether her behavior is rooted in something deep and meaningful, or superficial."
Oh, really?
Well, if memory serves Madonna started her career crica "Material Girl" ripping off Marilyn Monroe big time. Nothing wrong with that. So how does Madonna figure fellow Catholic girl, Lady Gaga, is doing anything close to that sort of homage?
Everybody appropriates from everybody, the question is what you've done with it. Gaga is more hard rock oriented -she isn't simply ripping Madonna off.
And as far as obsession is concerned: quite a few folks are obsessed wit madonna, not sure if madonna is one of them…
