Let’s say you record a protest song like Neil Young’s “Ohio” in 1970, a response to the murder of four college students “The record was mastered with the participation of the four principals, rush-released by Atlantic and heard on the radio with only a few weeks’ delay.’

In 2015, when, if Prince chose to, he could write, record and release a song in an hour, we are still waiting for his response to the civil unrest in Baltimore. And when we get it, he is releasing the song via Tidal to absolutely insure that 99.9% of the people who hear his great moment of protest HAVE TO STEAL IT.

There is also a concert in Baltimore  .. .that  at least should be good.

But will it make up for his crass money grubbing stupidity???  What is Prince problem? What is he thinking? Who on earth sits on a pulled from todays papers protest song for a week and then releases it on Tidal? Surely,he should be giving it away as a free download for anything who cares, I mean, isn’t he doing it to share his opinion?
