Modern day love songs tend to suck. (ie. "Grenade", "I'm Yours", any other love song by any rapper at all). These fairly recent tender tracks make up for the ridiculously stupid ones.
1. "Landing Feet First"- Bayside. This song's lyrics really tell a story, and I always sing this to my friends. The melody is lovely and it's heartfelt.
2. "Always"- Panic! At The Disco. Brendon Urie's always had a thing for making girls swoon, but this tune is by far the most lovely.
3. "If It Means A Lot To You"- A Day To Remember. It's been constantly stuck in my head for what feels like forever now, it's probably my current favourite love song.
4. "Forever Girl"- Forever The Sickest Kids. The first time I heard this song, I realized these boys were growing up. It isn't just some cliche love song, it's from experience.
5. "Happy"- NeverShoutNever. Cute and bouncy and adorable.
6. "A Story To Tell Your Friends"- Every Avenue. A bit more heartbroken then heartfelt, but the desperation shows the little downside of love.
7. "I Will Follow You Into The Dark"- Death Cab For Cutie. Painful and sad, but it's absolutely wonderful and always makes each person who listens to it think of someone they love.
8. "The Mortician's Daughter"- Black Veil Brides. Also on the sad side, but it talks about missing someone who means the world to you.
These songs show that not all the current love songs suck.
