Before Tennis, two bands performed at the Echo on Friday, Lord Huron whom I was seeing for the third time with the same great pleasure.
Having already written two times about their luminous and tropical music, I just can say one more time how excellent they are live. They open endless landscapes of exotic rhythms at each song, with the same serenity and joy. There is something so earthly about all these sounds which resonate at a deep level, that you just stare at the stage, having some difficulty to absorb everything at the same time,… it is quite difficult to describe but really rewarding and moving.
They started their set with the exhilarating explosion of ‘Mighty’ and closed it with ‘We went wild’, playing, I think, all their tracks from their two EPs. I can’t wait untill they have new songs.
