1. Nas Is Like – Nas – His undeniable classic of a song, beat everything leading towards and away because Nas suffers from anhedonia and everything he does denies its own job. Except this, which is tremendous fun – Grade: A

2. Dollar And A Dream III – J Cole – As mediocre a hip hop star as you will ever find, rides a chromatic rhyme scheme – Grade: B

3.Above The Law –  Bad Meets Evil – A prefer this to anything on Recovery -except for "Love The Way You Lie", of course – Grade: A

4. The Chimera – Smashing Pumpkins – I'll take this over ANYTHING Corgan has done since Mellon Collie The guitars really do shimmer and shake- Grade: A

5. Asylum – Slaughter – They could make a movie based on it – Grade: A-

6. Can't Get Enough feat Trey Songz – J Cole – His best song isn't saved by Trey, but isn't hurt by it – Grade: A-

7. Hip Hop Is Dead – Nas – Nas throws everything at this track, including Wil I AM (who is quickly morphing into Wycliffe Jean), and comes up with an electro hop track, never makes not disproves his claim. But it stands as a first rate Nas – Grade: B=

8. Love The Way You Lie – Eminem – What this did for Eminem was allow him to bury Slim Shady, what it did for Rihanna was upgrade her from a hip hop star to a celebrity – Grade: A+

9. B-Day Song – Madonna – Not just M, but Mia and a Cher sample… what's not to like? Grade: B=

10. Mama's Pearls – Jackson 5 – Demo version pulls up the bass – Grade: A
