1. Stillness Is The Move – Dirty Projectors – When people ask me about my music bucket list, I always forget to mention Solange Knowles. Among other things, she performed the greatest cover ever when she took on DP's greatest song ever. Unfortunately, I lost it. But am happy to take on the original instead in perpetuity or at least till I see em Monday night at MHOW – Grade: A
2. Best Friend – The Drums – Quiet year for the best indie band in the world – Grade: A
3. Lil Freak – Usher – So if Minaj isn't a lesbian, what the hell was she talking about here? Grade: A
4. You Make Loving Fun – Fleetwood Mac – I worship Christine McVie -the best thing about the great soft rock band. Better than Buckingham – Grade: A+
5. Was Mi Behagt – Danielle de Niese – Bach: and if this was any more beautiful it would cease to exist – Grade: A+
6. Till I Die – Chris Brown – Everybody else hates it so it can't be all bad – Grade: A
7. Fell Arrow H20 – Mission Of Burma – The drums are like a stampede and the rhythm is in a collusion with em to trip up your feet – Grade: A
8. Blood Never Lies – Thurston Moore – Sluggish loveliness, like waking up in the middle of a dog day afternoon. The strings lull you awake… – Grade: B+
9. Friend Crush – Friend – How were they? Well, they definitely played this!!! – Grade: A
10. Part Three – Mike Patton – From the former Faith No More lead singer, completely fucking bizarre, quasi religious chanting and doomsday sounds – Grade: B
