Landslide – Antony – With just an acoustic guitar to back him up, Antony steals the Fleetwood Mac tribute album from the likes of  Marianne Faithful.  It is not true that the song is such a great standard it is difficult to screw up. It is easy to screw up. Antony doesn't come within a million miles. his deep, emotional croon is perfect for this song – Grade: A

 
2. The House That Heaven Built – Japandroids – Some time between Wild Flag at Radio City and Spider Bags releasing their new album, these guys were the greatest rock and roll band n the world – Grade: A
 
3. Rihannon – Best Coast – Very easy sliding, glowing version: burnished by the LA sun and moonlight – Grade: A-
 
4. Both Of Us (feat Taylor Swift) – BoB – remember T-Swizzle and T-Pain? Well, forget about it – Grade: D+
 
5. Triumphant – Mariah Carey – Man, this sucks – Grade: D
 
6. Opium – Dead Can Dance – Wow, this kinda sucks as well – Grade: C
 
7. Call In A Cup – Woods –  Harmonica driven folk pop. Really good – Grade: B+
 
8. The Old Grey Hat – Jack Phillips – Lovely piano fills – Grade: A
 
9. Cupid – David Powter – Harmless without actually being good.
 
10. She's Love – Parachute – Possibly the lousiest song I've heard all year lachrymose trash – Grade: F
