1. Almost Like Being In Love – Gene Kelly – For all its not inconsiderable powers, "Brigadoon" doesn't rest in the Premier Division of Great American Musicals. For one thing, the story, about a village in Ireland that appears once every hundred years, doesn't bear thinking about. And for another Lerner-Lowe were nearly but not quite there. "My Fair Lady" was eight years away! For a third, the movie was not that great. Still, this song is an undeniable classic – Grade: A+
2. Caravan – Van Morrison – How good do you have to be to be this best song on Moondance? This good – Grade: A+
3. Steve McQueen – M83 – This is like a roaring car joyfully taking on the world. Or, I guess, Steve McQueen in "Le Mans" – Grade: A
4.XTC – Boys Noize – Actually the MMW remix is even better, but since I have so idea what an MMW is, I figured I'd play it on the safe side – grade:A
5. If I Only Had A Brain – Ray Bolger – My epigram… or do I mean epitaph? Grade: A+
6. Shoop – Salt N Peppa – If only they went for white guys, I've already got the bowlegged down pat – Grade: A
7. Never Want To Live Without You – Eric Benet – This is mid-80s soul to the the depth of its strings – Grade: A
8. Fetieki lle – The Roha Band – Somebody should cover it. This is the definition of crossover, and Selam's guitar is superb on the bridge – Grade: A
9. New Day – 50 Cent – Who is this? Will I Am?? – grade: B
10. Yet Again – Grizzly bear – Second song off the new one, and second pretty good not great soundscape – Grade: B+
