1. You, Man? Human??? feat Nick Cave – The Flaming Lips – It kicked in, it's like a too arty version of Cave crica 2008 and Cave is a sleazy, scary middle man as the music rolls over him in waves of weirdnesss: "You can touch me, if you want" is as I've heard – Grade: A
2. You Don't Have To Love Me – Blues Traveler – The album doesn't quite sustain it, but this song is melodic folk and the harp break is fine – Grade: A-
3. Shapeshifter – Marcy Playground – Another case of a terrible bad infected a pretty good band. And this is a good old fashioned rocker with a steely but nasal (I know) vocal – Grade: B+
4. Drunk Girls (Holy Ghost Remix) – LCD Soundsystem – HC are one of the best things to come outta dance in the DFA age, despite a disappointing debut album, but this remix cuts the original, especially the moog synthesizer with a mountain of "drunk girls" in the background – Grade: A
5. Hot Knife – Fiona Apple – Could well be the song of the year – Grade: A
6. Paper And Iron (Notes And Coins) – XTC – Here those drums: how they echo throughout the song, it's like somebody overdubbed em and used some dub effects. Somebody did. Meet Steve Lilliywhite a could of years before he overproduced Marshall Crenshaw – Grade: B+
7. Oblivion – Grimes – Hit making machine – Grade: A-
8. Dig, Lazurus, Dig!!! – Nick Cave – From 2008, when men were men and raised from the dead – Grade: B+
9. Don't Stop Till You Get Enough (1980 Live) – From the Victory tour, and a stupendous version leaves you no doubt why they chose to stick it on a greatest hits. MJ 's falsetto is ridiculous. he sounds like Robin Gibbs! Grade: A
10. Kids – Kylie Minogue – Feat Robbie Williams and one of those dance numbers that makes you wonder why she didn't break better – Grade: A-
