1. No Surprises – Radiohead – OK Computer was the album that turned me off Radiohead, that and a coupla crappy concerts. This song has a simple poetic that turns the sound and fury of life sideways and onto its stomach – Grade: A

3. Small Town Moon – Regina Spektor – Leaves Home – Grade: A
4. Mira – Melody Gardot – Quirky, French sounding jazz by a one woman inspiration – Grade: A
5. Rollin' And Tumblin' – Tedeschi Trucks Band -Do you know how I say how I dislike the blues? I don't mean I dislike Mississippi John Hurt, I mean I dislike this – Grade: C
6. Ophelia – Levon Helm – A reminder that he was a great loss – Grade: A
7. R.A.P. Music – Killer Mike – This is a stupendous rap and the drums are as harsh and multi as hip hop gets – Grade: A
8. Midnight City – M83 – So good it changed their lives – Grade: A
9. Blue Jeans – Lana Del Rey – So good and she was already a star – Grade: A
10. Casualties Of War – Gossip – Another very good song… but that's all it is – Grade: B+
