1. Richland Woman's Blues – Mississippi John Hurt – Recorded in 1928, a strummed guitar, a finger picked guitar and an easy going vocal as Hurt channels his inner woman. Grade: A+
2. Strong – Robbie Williams – Uncoo? Perhaps, but for all its power pop trappings, its vulnerability is one of the secret passages of rock – Grade: A
3. Drive By – Train – Sure, Train can have 2, 3, strong hooks in a song, and sure, "my love went viral" is a clever line. But the lyric isn't saved and the song is a horror of weak ass rock – Grade:C-
4. Queen Of California – John Mayer – Channeling his inner CS&N (but no Y) – Grade: B
5. Something Else – Sid Vicious – It is tough to fuck up Eddie Cochran. But give Sid credit for trying – Grade: C
6. Space Race – Shit Robot – Yeah, but not really, Mr. robot is giving it all to a synth lick – Grade: B+
7. Bob Dylan's Dream – Against Me – Opens as a musical tribute and then becomes a pretty great hard rocker… "Slept in bed between my wife and I…" Grade: A-
8. Fuck Off – Wayne County And The Electric Chairs – Transgender pin up girl, a boogie woogie piano and a come on like nobodies business: "If you don't wanna fuck me, baby fuck off…'
9. Christine – Siouxsie And The Banshees – She's English, right? Grade: B
10.. Butane (feat El-P) – Killer Mike – Because he wants to burn it down. From what may have just beaten Odd Future for best rap album of the year – Grade: A
